History
Established in 1962. Charlie Rose was a popular figure for many years in the city of Campbell. He owned and operated a successful grocery market on Central Avenue and served a few years as the city’s mayor. Later, he would turn his love for sports in general- and his love of baseball in particular- into a career when he transformed his central ave shop into a sports shop…a sport shop that concentrated on baseball. We lost Charlie in 1989, but his memory will live on in Campbell, thanks in no small part to Pat McCann. Pat has taken over the operation of the shop. They moved the store from the house to 14926 Camden Ave in San Jose. Come to the shop to get a glove worked over, to pick up a new bat or to just stop and talk baseball for awhile. “Shop where the Pros Shop”
Meet the Business Owner
Pat has been in the sporting goods industry since 1975. Pat is a past High School All-American and played Baseball for the University of Nebraska. His love and passion of the game brought him to Charlie Rose in 1986 as a sales rep for SSK Baseball. When Charlie Rose passed away in 1988 Pat stepped up and bought the business from Charlies family. Pat has been involved with Charlie Rose for the past the past 30 years and continues his passion to help the community get the best Baseball and Softball experience available.
